8th International Shibori Symposium, Hong Kong
"Punched Monologue": an innovative collection of sculptural fabrics inspired by the intricate textures of shells and corals. Crafted with a blend of steel yarns and stretchable yarns, the fabric embodies elegance and innovation, seamlessly adapting to the wearer's movements.
The meticulous craftsmanship shines through in the free-flowing top, showcasing the fabric's fluidity and timeless sophistication.
Proudly awarded the Silver at the 8th International Shibori Symposium in Hong Kong, "Punched Monologue" represented Indian craftsmanship on a global stage in 2011.
The creation then traveled to China from Hong Kong and was showcased at the Foshan Zumiao Museum, where it was exhibited for 3 months from January - March 2012.

A/W '13-14 Forecast
Spiritual Space - The collection was developed for the renowned trend forecasting company WGSN. The theme provided was “Spiritual Space” for developing the A/W 13-14 collection for woven textiles. The mood board provided was to be explored with a range of keywords like galaxy, mystery, ripples, cosmic, lunar glow, and iridescence.
These keywords were further inferred through many reference images and translated on the loom through a range of heavy-weight fabrics.
The selected fabric Milkway was interpreted through the traditional Indian weaving technique of Tangaliya from Gujarat (India). The bright clustered twinkling stars were translated in the form of small fuzzy balls of cotton twisted and woven as complementary weft against the dark woolen ground.
